All games are played at Frank Sinatra Park or 1600 Park Ave. Both Turf Fields.
The season consists of 8 games.
Games are played on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Game times are anytime from 7:30pm through 10:15pm is the last game.
Teams must be able to play on any day or time listed above. (The HASL will do it's best to schedule games as requested however teams must be able to play anyday listed above.
Teams must be available to play any make-up games Monday - Thursday.
Individual teams get formed by individual registrations. The HASL will try to obtain Goal Keeper however if none is availble players may be asked to divide keeper duties.
PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. LEAGUE HAS NO INSURANCE.
MUST BE REGISTERED AND SIGN WAVIER TO PLAY.
NO REFUNDS 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO KICK OFF. No refunds for any forfeited, cancelled or any games which cannot be re-scheudled.
ALL TEAMS MUST PAY A $25 REFEREE FEE.
TEAMS WHO FORFEIT WILL PAY THE FULL $50 REF FEE AND CANNOT PLAY NEXT GAME UNLESS FEE IS PAID TO THE HASL DIRECTLY.
ANY TEAM FORFEIT WILL DISQUALIFY TEAM FROM THE PLAYOFFS.
No refund for forfeited games.
ONCE SCHEDULE IS PUBLISHED IT BECOMES FINAL. THE HASL WILL NOT RE-SCHEDULE GAMES UNLESS FOR WEATHER OR OTHER UN-FORESEEN LEAGUE REASONS.
Top 4 teams from each division will make the playoffs.
Games are 2 X 22 minutes halves.
Games are 7 vs 7 - 6 players and a keeper.
Minimum to start game is 4 players and a keeper.
CO-ED teams must have at least 2 women on the field at all times or play short.
Substitute “On the fly”. Player coming off the field must not interfere with the game.
Substitute player may not engage in play or touch the ball until substituted player is off the field.
No Slide-Tackles - Automatic Yellow Card - Direct free kick.
Slide-Tackle within the box is a penalty kick.
A Goal may be scored directly from a kickoff.
A Goal may be scored from anywhere on the field.
While a keeper has possession of the ball no player shall infringe on the keeper in releasing the ball into play.
After keeper has possession, the ball must touch a player or the field of its defensive side prior to going over the midfield.
Keepers releasing the ball and perform a Drop-kicks must also touch a player or it's defensive side of the field.
The Keeper may pass the ball to himself by releasing the ball (roll ball away) making him a field player. This allows the keeper to kick the ball over the midfield line.
Throw-ins. No Kick-ins.
Players must stand 10 yards from any free kick.
ALL GAMES ARE FINAL AT ONCE 1st HALF IS COMPLETED. Any thunderstorns in the area the referee must stop play. If game is in the second half the game will be considered completed.
Win/Loss /Tie Point System: 3 Points for a win 1 Point for a tie 0 Point for loss
SHINGUARDS should be worn for your protection.
Teams may pick up any women players or keepers from other teams.
No slide tackling except by the Goalkeeper (Not outside the box).
O35 - If a referee challenges a player for his age he must present his ID which indicates his age.
If player is not able to present ID showing his age, the team forfeits the game 5-0. No exceptions.
O35 - Any Player 35 in the year they are playing can play in this league. (A player is 34 and will be 35 the year they are playing)
O35 - All Players must bring ID to the field for each game. If a referee requests ID to verify a player's age and the player cannot produce ID to verify his age the team will lose the game 5-0. NO EXCEPTIONS!
O35 - Keeper can be of any age.
O35 - Women players can be of any age.
RED CARD RULES: PLAYER MUST LEAVE THE FIELD HOWEVER TEAM DOES NOT PLAY SHORT. The team manager must account for the player receiving a red card with the league. Player may not play again until the RED card is reported to the league by the manager.
ANY PLAYER WHO RECEIVES CONSISTENT RED CARDS (2 or more) WILL BE EXPELLED FROM THE LEAGUE
YELLOW CARD Player must leave the field (cool down) of play until the referee calls you back in. This may be a few seconds or longer.
FIGHTING, SPITING at anyone or VIOLENT game play is reason for expulsion from the league.
REFEREE DECISION IS FINAL. THERE ARE NO PROTESTS OF CALLS, RULES OR GAMES.
Weather cancellations will be posted online. The HASL has no control over the weather. We will attempt to play all games.
