G14 Travels to Italy for Summer Trip
Coach Matt Percontino took his G14 team to Italy to visit the sites, challenge Italian girls' teams to friendly games
and introduce the girls to his hometown community of San Giacamo. The trip was planned to coincide with the Feast of St Anne's
- held annually in Hoboken and San Giacamo.
Many thanks to Leo Pellegrini and the Hoboken All Star Soccer Club, Dominic Lucivero and the Hoboken Adult Soccer League,
Torna's and Premier Soccer Shop for their support of the team and the trip.
New Field Spring 2008 -- While the season
was disrupted by the closing of Sinatra Field, the Hoboken All Stars were pleased to finish out the season on a brand
new turf field. In addition to having a safe new surface, the redesign of the field and installation of permanent markings
improves and increases the uses of the field.
Many thanks to the City of Weehawken for hosting our home games in the Spring of
2008 and allowing us to play all of the games in our schedule on-time.
Many thanks to the Mayor and City Council of Hoboken as well as the City employees who moved decisively and quickly to
replace the "contaminated" old field surface and ensured that the children of Hoboken have a place to paly.
